ARTITEC was founded in 2000 as a company specialized in the production of technical items in two component polyurethane for casting, both compact and expanded.
In 2018 ARTITEC acquired ALFAPLASTIC, a company specialized in the production of thermoplastic elastomers profiles, specifically TPU (Thermoplastic Polyurethane), thus adding extrusion to the production technologies used.
ARTITEC is now managed with modern management tools and techniques such as management control, definition of strategy, business plan and project management.

Wheels
The company has always specialized in the production of 2-component cast Polyurethane (PU) wheels. The wheels designed, produced and marketed by ARTITEC are appreciated in the inline and quad skating sectors, industrial wheels and luggage wheels.
Industrial extruded profiles
In the realization of a thermoplastic material profile, ARTITEC accompanies the client during the design planning, the construction of the matrix and the accompanying equipment, the profile extrusion. ARTITEC is specialized in the extrusion of TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane) profiles, a polymer with exceptional physical-mechanical characteristics of resistance to abrasion and tearing.
Tubes and inner chambers
The TPU (Thermoplastic Polyurethane) tubes produced by ARTITEC are ideal for transporting materials with high abrasion (powders, grit). Furthermore, TPU is a perfectly recyclable material.
Items molded in polyurethane by casting
ARTITEC is specialized in the molding of both compact and expanded 2-component PU. Thanks to its excellent characteristics of elasticity and abrasion resistance, polyurethane is a very versatile material that finds use in many sectors such as the mechanical industry, sports equipment and food.

Technologies
The extrusion of thermoplastics is an industrial production process. The thermoplastic material is melted in a heated cylinder, the screw inside plasticizes the material and pushes it towards the extruder head, where the matrix gives the desired shape. The profile is subsequently calibrated and cooled.
The molding of 2-component PU consists of mixing the two components (polyol and isocyanate); the liquid mixture is poured into the mold in which the chemical reaction of the two components makes the polyurethane solid and of the desired geometry.
